Hybrid solar power systems:

combines solar panels, battery storage, and grid connection, offering the reliability of off-grid systems with the backup of grid power, ensuring continuous electricity by storing excess solar energy for night/outages and drawing from the grid when needed. These intelligent systems use a hybrid inverter to manage energy flow, prioritizing solar, then battery, then grid, providing energy independence and resilience against blackouts, unlike standard on-grid systems that shut down during outages.

Off-grid solar power systems: Solar panels capture solar radiation and produce direct current (DC). A charge controller then converts this unregulated DC into regulated DC for storage in batteries. The batteries are connected to an inverter that converts the DC to alternating current (AC), which can be used directly to power AC electrical loads and appliances.

On-grid solar power systems

generate electricity from solar panels and operate in parallel with the public electricity grid. These systems feed excess electricity to the grid during the day and rely on the grid at night or when solar energy production is insufficient to meet demand, thus eliminating the need for batteries and saving on upfront costs.

Generally, solar pumping systems rely on sunlight (solar energy) to operate the pumps, and they are simple systems that do not include batteries to store electricity.
